this is very easily accomplished actually and this is what NT does in the background I am sure.
create a group that contains multiple other groups you want to have access to a specific file, then assign the file's right to the newly made group.

One feature I wish Linux/UNIX had that NT does: the ability to assign a file
to multiple groups. I know there is at least one new (UNIX) file system
specs in the works (the name escapes me at the moment)
