I'm wondering what I'm missing here. Sure, as the Addonics
tech support said, the DHCP server is either on or off.
There can't be any in-between states, right? But I can't
imagine why there would be any problems mixing fixed and
DHCP addresses, as long as the fixed addresses are legal and
don't match an address already given away by the DHCP
server. Right? Or is there something I don't know.
Patrick, are you suggesting having both the Linux box and
shuttle acting as DHCP servers on the same network
simultaneously? That can't be a good idea, can it? Why
would anyone want to do that?
