If it helps any there is an update to Linuxconf for RH6.1 on Red Hat's site.
It's an rpm patch for it, need to install the usermode patch as well. I had
a problem starting Linuxconf, but with different errors, the patch solved it
for me....
Don't know if it will work for you though... just my two cents for the day

I recently tried the Bastille hardening script for RedHat 6.1.
I have a feeling that it might have over protected my machine.
For instance, when I try and run linuxconf, I get:
bash# linuxconf
Error message from remadmin :Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Error message from remadmin :Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to
Server
Error message from remadmin :
Error message from remadmin :Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0
Can anyone point me in the right direction to correct for this?
