Heyla!

Okay, this is the problem. I want to download the

debugger DDD. It is on the site ftp.gnu.org. My KDE

already had a place for it (although, why Mike didn't

install it when he was installing this mess for me, I

don't know. Never again am I letting anyone intall

this mess for me.) No probs so far.

The instructions say to use anonymous as the user, and

my email address as the password. Guess what? "login

incorrect". Ack.

The good folks at ">gnu@gnu.org have decided not to

respond to my emails, and this business of downloading

is starting to drive me crazy. Something always seems

to go wrong.

I have tried using my Netscape browser to download,

but it seems to prefer downloading in ascii, instead

of binary, so all the files come to me as trash. And

before you ask, yes, I know about tar'd and gzip'd

files. tar -tvf bitched that they were AFU. What now?

HELP!
