I just wanted to take a second and introduce myself to the list. Linux is
completely new to me, and I will likely have a large number of really silly
questions, but I'll try to keep the exceptionally elementary ones to a
minimum. Basically I'm a ColdFusion (www.allaire.com) web application
programmer, and have traditionally developed web apps on NT. Now that CF is
being released for the Linux platform (currently in beta), I'm eager to
immerse myself into the Linux world and find out what I've been missing.
For starters I'm looking at installing RedHat 6.1 onto an old 486 I have.
I'm planning on doing so over a network connection via HTTP, and I'm running
a local web server, so speed of install over http shouldn't be an issue.
If anyone has any advice they would like to give me at this point, feel
free. I guess I don't really have any specific questions yet though.
Unless of course there are some fellow CF folks on the list already....
