Because it's a big (5.25 full height) fat power hog (it takes a
lot of power to spin those full height drives up) and lots of people would
rather spend a couple hundred more to get a 3.5 half height 18 Gig Fast
and Wide SCSI drive that will run rings around the 5.25 beast while drawing
a fraction of the power.

If you've got a SCSI controller that supports the narrow bus,
either a narrow SCSI card or a dual mode card, you should be all set.
The 50 pin cable sounds like you've got what you need.
