no, an URL=protocol://location.server
browser gets an URL, then try to open tcp/ip conneciton to
location.server:protocol_port_num
As for FTP, it is trying to do anonymous ftp, this is why will get the
same 'cannot get to the server' error as you do command line ftp to
certain busy FTP server site.
