The only thing MediaNone cares about is the MAC address of the NIC card.
As long as you have a driver for your NIC, it should work ok.

Subject: [ale] MediaOne cable modem and D-Link DFE530-TX+ network
adapter
*Yes*... the big day is tomorrow when I should be getting a cable
modem installed from MediaOne in Atlanta.
Went and bought a D-Link DFE530-TX+ 10/100 PCI network adapter
from Micro Center in Marietta. I wanted to get a 3Com but they
didn't have them in stock :-(
The MediaOne robot told me that they only install for Windows so
I will have Windows running on my machine when the service guy
shows up. Is there anything "special" that I have to have done
so that I can access the net from Linux?
I dual-boot the machine with Win98 and Suse Linux 6.2 (2.2.12 krnl).
Thanks
