I live in Jacksonville, FL but if the cablemodem is a 2-way external model
(most all new installs these days are), then you should only have to tell
Linux that you want to get your IP via DHCP (somewhere in the SuSe
control panel system). I've got a little p100 machine sitting in the
closet that is the masq'ing server for the home network and it runs like a
dream.
