How can I use NFS V3 on my Linux box if all my other UNIX OS's only do NFS
V3?

Subject: [ale] NFS with IRIX
Hello all,
Got a sort of interesting thing going on here. I am trying to setup
an NFS server running on Red Hat LINUX 6.1 so that users on SGI
(IRIX) systems can mount exported directories. I have the nfsd and
mountd running (verified by rpcinfo).
On the LINUX system I can mount exported directoried from a IRIX
nfs server, with out any problems, but if I try to mount a LINUX
export I get a message such as:
Permission denied
NFS version 3 mount failed, trying NFS version 2
mount: access denied for area-51:/sample
mount: giving up on:
/redhat
#
The /etc/exports file on the LINUX side looks like
/sample bauhaus(rw,insecure)
Been looking in the man pages, LDP, SGIs website, RedHats
website and can't find anything that is helping. I am guessing one
of two things
1. I am missing something little and silly (probably this)
2. NFS between LINUX and IRIX are incompatabile.
Any suggestions anyone can give would be great and appreciated.
Jeff
