Just installed 6.1 on a new machine.  Did not want to disrupt the old

5.1

which was running ppp and diald just fine.

After we use Gnome Internet config tools, then network control panel,

and add

a ppp connection with PAP, etc.  It does not dial at all.  'activate'

which

works fine in 5.1 is dead in 6.1

I am able to get the modem to dial in RHAT dialer, but it will not

authenticate

PAP and dies an terrible death.  We believe if it is doing PAP, it

cannot find

the pap-secrets file which HAS the info in it.

Two problems:  Network control panel will not dial

               RHAT dialer will not do the PAP I told it to.

ANy one else have this experience when switching to 6.1?
