Remember: you asked...
Actually, I spend part of my "spare" time as a Sysop on the Compuserve EMAILCOMM forum answering questions about e-mail packages and (ugh!) AOL/CS2000. I also spend time as a Sysop on the Compuserve WINNT forum answering questions about RAS/DUN. And I'm an occasional participant in the Compuserve LINUXFORUM.
Then I read and respond to messages from the ale-list, firewalls-list, the ntsysadmin-list and the masq-list. Finally I mostly lurk in the exceedusers-list, the netboot-list, the CVS-list and the VWNC-list.
When that's not occupying my time I administer the mixed NT/Linux network at the office, assist a corporate client with his network and actually write Smalltalk and WinCE applications.
To compound matters, OE5 has been failing to retrieve mail to a number of my typical NT stations so I actually have to wait until evening to check my list mail. Otherwise I'd be peeking at it during the day.
Vacation, hopefully, will be a week in the Caribbean next month - if I can find time to get to a travel agent...
And, it appears the 3GB HD in my laptop (triple boot 95B, NT, Mandrake 5.3) really is giving up the ghost so I'll have to spend some time reloading that.
Oh; did I forget to mention that I've just finished building an NT server for my ISP so they can support FrontPage extensions for WIntel-oriented subscribers. (They run Apache everywhere else, but the FP ext to Apache are a bitch to get working right and are a significant security issue)
We won't get into my efforts to build a better firewall on one of the 486/sx33 systems that I latched onto.
So... whacha been upta?

Note that this applies to the 1998 version; if `man mgetty` is dated 1993 then you only have the "-m" option

mgetty does control the modem via internal init strings.... policy.h has
these strings included and must be recompiled if the inits change... ;)
