Actually, update to this:
I can't mount or unmount *ANY* filesystems with the 'mount' command.
For some reason, the ones in /etc/fstab get mounted on boot, but everything
else will hang, be it /dev/hdc2 or /dev/fd0 or /dev/cdrom.
Any ideas?
In our last episode, Dave Brooks proclaimed:

>Okay, I'm stumped on a little problem I'm having. I recently bought a new 10GB hard drive
>(IDE) and stuck it in my computer as /dev/hdc. I partitioned that harddrive to allocate
>~4GB to Linux and ~6GB to a Winblows partition. The other harddrive is a 2.5GB that's on
>/dev/hda that contains the bulk of my Linux installation.

>After I installed the drive, I proceeded to install Windows on the partition I allocated to

>motherboard, and installed. It didnt complain. I figured that I could just adjust my
>IDE cables back to the original position and edit my /etc/lilo.conf accordingly, and
>re-run lilo. I did that, and LILO reported the normal output:

>fyodor:(/home/dbrooks)# lilo

>I also have /dev/hdc2 (the 4GB Linux partition) mounted on /opt and /dev/hdc1 mounted on
>/mnt/win. However, when I try and unmount any partition on /dev/hdc, it just locks.
>I can't kill the process. It doesnt hang the system completely, it just will hang when
>trying to unmount any partition on /dev/hdc. Therefore, when I reboot or halt my system,

>Also, at the boot-up LILO prompt, if I type 'win' to boot the windows partition, it does this:
>
>LILO boot: win
>Loading win...
