Hello, all!
Incredibly brain-damaged newbie here. Got an
incredibly brain-damaged newbie question or two.
I tried to get at the debugger called ddd, and, of
course, it doesn't seem to be in my PATH. It is in
/usr/share/apps/kappfinder under the subdirectories
/Development and /apps/Applications in root's home
directory. (I hope I stated that at least
semi-correctly)
Would the easiest thing to do be to stuff this mess in
my PATH, and if so, how do I add to the PATH without
deleting what is already there?
Second problem; I am not getting any sounds off the
Internet, you know, like off Web pages, and email
greeting cards. I always get this error message "A
plugin for the mime type audio/x-midi was not found".
Now, I have repeatedly tried to download realplayer
G2, but I am told that it is not available at this
time, try a different version.
I have also tried to get at it from the
Netscape>Edit>Preferences, but I get a screen asking
for;
Description:
MIME Type:
Suffixes:
Then it wants to know Whether or not to use this MIME
as the outgoing default for these extensions, and;
Who the mess will be handles by (Navigator,
Application,Save to disk, or Unknown, prompt user.)
HELP!
Thanks bunches, and yes, Bob, I will be at next
month's meeting.
-Indira
