I use it on my cable-connected box, a very nifty tool that generates

notifications of any funky activity on the wire (as well as learns the

macs of the local neighbors and records them in syslog output).  I'd

recommend it for anyone who needs to monitor for fishy activity on their

local LAN (Debian's potato tree has a package for it already, apt-get

install arpwatch to get it).
