You are seeing the changes because of the multiple registars that
can register domain names... I'm not sure what distribution of Linux you
are using but the one in Debian (atleast potato) looks up from the global
whois database and then pulls the information from the proper registar...
With that in mind the information further is specific to the
version with Debian which is reporting as version 4.4.5...
'whois ha JB5713' will pull my NIC handle
'whois ho DNS6704-HST' will pull one my DNS servers
'whois dump UNDERGRID.NET' will dump all registry data on my domain
'whois UNDERGRID.NET' will present the registry info from the proper
registar (May look different depending on who)
