APC cabling requirements are just plain wierd (and stupid). They even
gave me a separate cable to use if the OS supported PNP. I finally got
mine working, but ONLY by using a 25-9 pin convert. Just plugging it
into a 9 pin port (and changing the config) did nothing.
Very wierd.
