I'd have a hard time believing that they just flat dont work, but it 

sounds to me like you haven't tried speaking with enough supervisors.

Call and ask them the same question again.  Take the person's name.

If they refuse, demand to speak to their supervisor.  Take that super-

visor's name.  If that supervisor isnt any help, demand to speak to

someone

who would be directly in charge of the issue.  They woud much rather

give

you a refund than to have you harassing them the whole time.
