Boris,

So I have ran a word press in my house for years, before that HTML site I
wrote myself.

Hardware

I started out with Dell Optiplex 755 SSF that I bought off Robert. It
was ok. It was limited to two gigs of memory and had a 500 Gig. It did what
I needed with openSUSE and LAMP installed. Because I am hosting my servers
in my office, noise and heat have become an issue. I am slowing moving
services to either an arm board computer or docker. I am glad that I have,
I can sit in my office and watch tv again.

Here is my current setup, I will give cost because it helps people
starting

1) Libre.Computer Regenade ( RockChip ROC-RK3328, 4xA53 Cortex @1.4Gix with
4 gigs of Memory ) -- $50
2) Inland SSD 512 GB 2.5" hard drive for storage $24
3) Samsung Evo Plus 128 GB SD running Armbian Debian Bullseye -- $15
4) Geeekworm hat Pi 3 B+ Sata that works with the Renegade $24
5) A clear case that some with a power button 5V/3A power supply $15

So about a total of $140 bucks, you could go find a Dell Optiplex 7030 on
Facebook Market for about the same price, but again I wanted less heat and
noise. To see how it preforms, you can hit uglyscale.press. It works just
as great as the desktop. The key is Linux distro that easy to get up and
running, like Debian. I am thinking to move to an OrangePi as I can get an
OrangePi 5 or Plup that comes with 8 Cores RockChip RK3588 at 2.4Ghz up to
32 GB of memory, and can use SD/eMMC up to 256 GB/ or NVMe. Still the same
5V/4A power supply.

I would recommend Nginx over Apache, syntax is easy to use. MySQL/MariaDB
will take a bit to learn, but make sure to set up a job to backup every
night, and tar up /var/www so if something happens a backup.

Because it Wordpress that PHP is updated.

Now, you could install something like CasaOS or KasmWeb and use them to set
up docker containers to run wordpress or a host of services. I prefer a
service or container, easy to update and troubleshoot, but I know a lot of
people who love the ease of containers.

Network

I need to note, I am weirdo, I have five static and three firewalls and 4
different vlans. So the only note I will state, have a firewall that the
site can behind, if you don't have a static, make sure you get a good
Dynamic DHCP site that is easy to work with.
