Which is why my preferred method of absolutely destroying spinning rust
media is with heat. Get past the curie point and there are no magnetic
domains left - thus no data to be slurped/snooped by any 3-letter group
with knowledge of physics.

temps are below 1450F and all steel temps above 1400F are glowing red.
This can be done with a propane torch. If that platter's glowing, that
data is going (away).
