<p class="MsoNormal">Thompson Technologies has an immediate need for a full time Linux Engineer in Atlanta (Cobb Cloverleaf area) for administration of a Linux based infrastructure for a SaaS application and Rackspace cloud infrastructure.

<p class="MsoNormal">Responsibilities:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Configure and administer Linux servers. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Configure Linux file systems and firewalls. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Maintain upgrade our Puppet and fabric based deployment systems.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Build and streamline deployment strategies for our Rackspace hybrid cloud environment.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Work closely with development team to increase automation of builds and deployments.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Maintain security of the SaaS infrastructure. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Monitoring of systems. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Improving the overall quality of internal networks. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Requirements:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">2 to 3 years of Linux administration. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Shell scripting knowledge. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In depth understanding of Firewall and VPN configuration and Vulnerability prevention techniques.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Knowledge of network protocols including: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VoIP.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Desired:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Experience with Rackspace cloud environment or other cloud vendors.

<p class="MsoNormal">Python application programming knowledge. <o:p></o:p></p>
