Honestly, I thought about calling this a Junior position, but frankly, I think the name is a little condescending (no offense to anyone with that current title, it’s just my personal feeling). We are a very fair company, and certainly do not find any satisfaction in under paying someone just so they can have a job with us temporarily while they find their next position. If the experience warrants it, we are happy to pay market rates for the position. I found it very difficult to communicate in a job description what you need for qualifications, along with setting expectations of a very dynamic environment that will require consistent skill improvement. All we are trying to say is that every day is a challenge, we deal with new technology or at least different technology challenges each day. In the job description, I am just trying to be fair by listing as many of those that I can think of, so someone can decide if that’s the type of environment they would want to work in.
