Develop, modify, and maintain database systems necessary to achieve Supply
Chain Division activities and objectives. Provide technical support in
developing and maintaining database applications. Review, analyze, and
document data and database workflow processes, and prepare documentation
of database applications. Provide user support as necessary.<br>

Job Responsibilities<br>

Database Development and Maintenance Activities<br>
<br>
Develop, maintain, and modify databases to allow departments to operate
as efficiently as possible and to reduce manual effort. Assist in the design
phase of database requirements and functions. Use proper programming techniques
to ensure stable operation of databases. <br>
Assist management in developing ways to increase departmental efficiency
through automation of tasks. Help research new products, software, etc.
that would improve efficiency. <br>
Maintain SQL server software interfaces as necessary to support database
applications and maximize database efficiency<br>
Create test plans, test data sets and automated testing, where possible,
to ensure all components of the applications meet requirements and desired
results.<br>
End Result: Maximize departmental and database efficiency, and ensure database
stability, reliability, and accuracy.<br>

User Support Functions<br>
<br>
Train database users and provide technical support as necessary.<br>
Document logic and flow of database applications continuously, in the
form of programmer flow charts, as well as user-friendly scripts as necessary.<br>
Monitor and coordinate all change requests to database functionality,
in keeping with management sign off process.<br>
End Result: Ensure that users have access and necessary training to utilize
database applications correctly, as reviewed and approved. </font>

</td><td><font size="3"> BS. Degree in Computer Science or related field and
at least 3 years experience developing relational database applications
with complex MS SQL Server and MS Access database software.<br>
Proficient in Visual Basic programming, for use with MS Excel and MS
Access.<br>
Working knowledge of SAP which must include SAP data extraction skills.<br>
Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. Must be able to create and maintain
Access databases. Be able to implement user security to the Access databases.
Be able to link to many different data sources and pull data together to
make it useful for Access databases users. Access database should have
the look and feel of purchased software.<br>
Ability to prepare flow charts and documentation of database developments
using, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Visio, as appropriate.<br>
Able to work well with others, and to work independently to self-manage
assigned tasks. </font>
