<P><B>Job Description:</B> This position will be fully accountable for the overall stability, security, and supportability of the client’s platform (monitoring capabilities, performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintaining overall device and platform health). The UNIX CTL position will focus primarily on UNIX server (physical and virtual) management – specifically maintaining, enhancing, and engineering customer’s high-availability managed hosting server hardware, operating system, tooling, and middleware environment from end-to-end.<BR><BR>Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<BR>• General device management, system patching, alarm tuning, capacity planning, performance analysis, configuration management, and performance tuning<BR>• Maintain overall client platform stability, security, and supportability<BR>• Review customer and vendor Life Cycle change request requirements<BR>• Engineer detailed change documentation (MOPs/SMOPs) for said requests<BR>• Provide technical oversight and guidance of assigned change request thru completion.<BR>• Develop solutions to complex issues, including those which require extensive research, analysis, critical thinking, collaboration, and precision in the execution in order to resolve<BR>• Present recommendations to customers and/or vendors for consideration<BR>• Tier-3-level support to Service Assurance team (on call 24x7)<BR>• Facilitate post-outage reviews (POR), manage Service Incident Reporting (SIR), develop and deliver Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to management and to the customer<BR>• Develop, track, and report service remediation plans to management and to the customer<BR>• Act as quality-gate for new deals/gear enabled by the Service Delivery Team<BR>• Providing technical mentoring to peers and partner organizations<BR>• Developing and maintaining all technical documentation related to the client account (SMOPs/MOPs, GeoLink, customer-specific knowledge base, etc)<BR>• Overall customer relationship management<BR><BR>SKILLS REQUIRED:<BR><BR>Strong background and demonstrated experience supporting one or more of the following server operating system environments and middleware applications (most current/popular versions)<BR>• HP, IBM server hardware<BR>• Red Hat Linux Operating Systems<BR>• HP-UX Operating Systems<BR>• IBM AIX Operating Systems<BR>• IBM Tivoli<BR>• VMWare ESX<BR>• IBM WebSphere<BR>• BEA WebLogic<BR>• BEA Weblogic cluster with Veritas HA Foundation Manager<BR>• Apache<BR>• Java<BR>• Symantec NetBackup Client<BR>• Familiarity with layer 2/3 network devices and architecture<BR>Ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of direct experience supporting web hosting environments.<BR><BR>RED HAT CERTIFICATION MUST BE VALID/ACTIVE indicate in supplemental area<BR>Customer facing assignment</P></DIV>
