<p class=MsoNormal>SUMMARY OF POSITION: <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Linux / UNIX system administrator installs, maintains and
monitors multiple servers and applications running on the servers. This
position supports life cycle environments including development, QA, staging
and production. The applicant must have strong communication skills and a
vast knowledge in system troubleshooting and support. This is a contract
position within the Operations organization.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: <o:p></o:p></p>
<ul style='margin-top:0in' type=disc>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Coordination of all system
management activities including software upgrades, capacity planning, and
performance monitoring and tuning<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Plan and coordinate
testing changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems will operate
optimally in current and future environments<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Responsible for the
complete process of infrastructure design and operations, including
systems analysis and maintenance, security, network operations and
support, systems configurations.<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Infrastructure includes
hardware, operating systems, database management systems, network and
security. <o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Conducts end-to-end plan
design, controls production, and implements and monitors systems. <o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Tune operating system and
hardware for optimal performance <o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Monitor servers and
applications for errors and performance problems. <o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Develop long-term strategy
for historical data retention and archival plan for storage needs; defines
data retention, backup, and recovery. <o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Develops packages to
automate distribution of installation executable software and related
software on target machines. <o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Maintains data
dictionaries and ensures integration of systems through data design. <o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Interact with software,
network, database, and other internal teams to seamlessly implement
solutions to complex technical issues<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'>Proactively monitor and
manage capacity. This includes (but is not limited to) monitoring
CPU, memory, and IO and ensuring growth needs are planned<o:p></o:p></li>

support (including a rotating, on-call schedule)<o:p></o:p></li>

5 years systems administration experience) <o:p></o:p></li>

Enterprise Linux Version 5<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2'> Experience in

and configure Redhat Enterprise Linux <o:p></o:p></li>

Information Systems, Engineering, computer science, related discipline or
