at least 10+ years experience in building system around the Open
Source System RHEL or CentOS environment.
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">This contractor will be a seasoned and
self managed “out of the box” person with a solid core of
technical solutions and engineering ability with at least 10+ years
experience in building system around the Open Source System RHEL or
CentOS environment.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">This person will have good,
interpersonal and collaboration skills. </p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Must be able to design solutions with
application development group and precisely and concisely
communicate information to customers, senior management and
project management as needed. </p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">This person must spearhead the
production of solid documentation that can be easily understood by
our technical staff and customers.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><u><b>Job Functions:</b></u></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Provide engineering direction and
implementation for the firms Linux systems inclusive of:</p>
<ul><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">System performance tuning</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Kernel configuration and memory
management</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Development and implementation of
security polices in coordination w/ Security officer</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">System hardening for DMZ and like
implementations</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Establish consistency of server
configuration and build process
</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Benchmark server and storage
systems</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Administration of SNMP based
monitoring system</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Strong troubleshooting skills in a
high pressure environment working with network, security and
development teams</p>
