Data Center Engineer - Duluth, Georgia

Responsible for supporting the development and testing infrastructure for critical business projects. The position will perform a variety of complex engineering and process tasks which require diversified technical knowledge to support a variety of video services projects including CDN distribution, over the top/IP video, adaptive bit-rate streaming, caching technologies, cloud-based applications, big data and video repackaging.
 
Key Duties:
Work in a collaborative team environment and impact many aspects of the product development life cycle.
Administering lab systems
Responsible for network administration and operating system administration (Linux)
Maintaining lab documentation and physical configuration and inventory
Installation and physical configuration of managed servers and racking/connecting equipment.
Ensuring equipment and operating configurations are available for the Product Line Management, Architecture, and QA teams.
Pro-active and meticulous in continuously identifying and troubleshooting problems.
Create processes that enhance operational workflow.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Solid Linux administration experience
Experience working with server and networking hardware.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, including HTTP and TCP/IP
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in solving complex problems and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
The role will work with server equipment. The candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds and have full body movement.
Preferred Additional Requirements:
Prior experience working within a data center or lab environment preferred.
Automation via shell scripting experience preferred.
Understanding of command line usage and Bash Scripting.
Experience with CDN architectures and streaming technologies, such as MPEG, H.264, Apple HLS and/or Microsoft Smooth Streaming preferred.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Visio, Word and PowerPoint.
Virtualization expertise preferred.

Real Time Principal Engineer - Pompano Beach, FL

Responsible for designing, executing or independently achieving project objectives by performing a variety of complex engineering and process tasks which require in-depth and diversified technical knowledge. Duties may at times pertain to product conception, design, development, testing, documentation and support. The design/development or process design requirement activity is at a level where no previous practice may exist and where only the general nature of the problem is known.
  
Essential Duties:
Develop and support a RedHawk Linux ARM64 operating system.
Maintain, enhance, and develop large engineering projects or a number of smaller scale projects with complex features. This position involves software engineering in a Linux environment.
Translate product, process, or systems requirements into engineering principles to describe and specify required application.
Be aware of internal and external customer concerns in the design and development of products and processes.
Synthesize initial concepts to define broader or lesser concepts.
Develop understanding of department's identity and efforts, and the corporate role.
Contribute to improving the technical knowledge-base and effectiveness of other engineers.
Interface with co-workers and staff from other departments and ensures positive working relationships in a team environment.
Impart technical expertise within department, and to customers, users groups.
 
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, Master's preferred.
7 years or more experience using ARM processors with Linux distributions.
Strong knowledge of the ARM64/Aarch64/ARMv8-A architecture.
Strong experience with Linux kernel internals.

Maintain, enhance, and develop large engineering projects or a number of smaller scale projects with complex features. This position primarily involves software engineering in a Linux environment.
